Fred Tallaksen is an award winning choreographer whose work can be seen & recognized all over the world. He is a 2 time Emmy nominee, has won an American Choreography Award and been nominated for a second, has won 2 Choreography Media Honor Awards, has won an Espirit Award, has won several Gala Awards and has been nominated for an Ovation Award and a Robby Award.

Fred has been a quadruple threat performer since his teens and performed in musicals such as Cats, Starlight Express, On Your Toes, Tommy, Pippin and Jesus Christ Superstar. He danced, acted, tumbled and did skating stunts for commercials including Coke, Pepsi, HBO and Adidas. Fred has sung jingles for Dr. Pepper, Sprite, Blue Cross and Pop Tarts. Music videos and television include Madonna, Black Sabbath, Bobby Womack, General Hospital, Loving, the Rosie O’Donnell show and the Superbowl halftime show. Currently Fred has the honor of performing with the amazing Ann-Margret in her traveling variety show.
Fred’s vision and work as a contemporary choreographer are a direct eclectic reflection of his diverse background. Lending his talents to film, television, commercials, stage, music videos and the corporate entertainment field, Fred has not only choreographed dancers, singers, actors and musicians, but also skaters, bmx & skateboarders, drummers, aerial artists and gymnasts.

Fred worked one on one with Madonna & created choreography for her "Sorry" music video. He was then asked to choreograph a large section of the finale for her Confessions World Tour. The televised special on NBC earned him a Choreography Media Honors Award. Fred has also choreographed other music videos for James Blunt, Junanes, Kellis, Cag Net, the Roller Girlz and DIVA.

He was the skating consultant for Austin Powers III – Goldmember, and worked personally with Mike Myers. He choreographed other films such as No Place Like Home, Circuit, Whiplash and The Sex Monster.

National Commercials include the American Choreography Award nominated Mountain Dew spot, 7 spots for Goodyear Tires, Dirt Devil, 2 Round Table Pizza spots, Shoebuy.com, Domino’s Pizza, Toshiba, Adidas Men’s Cologne, Hilton Hotels, Mitsubishi and Chrysler.

For all 7 seasons, Fred was the staff choreographer for the hit television series, Malcolm in the Middle and choreographed over 19 episodes. These earned him 2 Emmy nominations, a win for an American Choreography Award and a second Choreography Media Honors Award. Fred has also choreographed episodes of Arrested Development, Blue Collar TV, Living with Fran Drescher, the Hollywood Christmas Parade, 7 years on Days of Our Lives, Mad TV, Boy Meets World, Monk, Two Guys and a Girl and Nickelodeon’s Kids’ Choice Awards.

For the stage, Fred has choreographed Damn Yankees, Music Man, Songs for a New World, Music of the Night and Miss Desmond Behind Bars which earned him an Ovation Award nomination. For Universal Studio’s Summer Movie Drive Inn, Fred choreographed Grease, West Side Story, Footloose, Xanadu, the Wizard of Oz, Little Shop of Horrors and Dirty Dancing. For Tokyo Disney Seas, Fred choreographed an amazing spectacle entitled The Legend of Mythica. Fred is currently the Show Director for the Pixar Play! Parade, which is Disney's new parade at California Adventure.

A multi-award winning Director/Choreographer for his work in the corporate arena, Fred has worked on over 200 events all over the world for major corporations including Microsoft, Mitsubishi, Honda, Acura, IBM, FORD, Pizza Hut, McDonald’s, Goodyear, AT&T, Rolls Royce, Chrysler, Honeywell, US Sprint, Harley Davidson, Jaguar, Elizabeth Arden, the Disney Channel, Phillip Morris and countless others. Fred has also been a staff choreographer for the past 4 years for the high roller parties on New Years Eve at the Bellagio and Mirage hotels in Las Vegas. For his work in the Corporate World, Fred has won an Esprit Award and several Gala Awards.

In 1999, Fred created “Rhythm Extreme” which is a high-energy percussion group that has performed at over 300 events all over the world. Two troupes based in Orlando and Los Angeles, are performing and touring simultaneously throughout the year in commercials, at corporate events, theme parks, trade shows and casinos. Fred wrote, directed and choreographed a full length Rhythm Extreme show entitled “The Beat Goes On” for the Disney Magic Cruise ship and the Windsor Casino. Rhythm Extreme also competed and progressed through several rounds of the hit television show “America’’s Got Talent.

Along with his many creative talents, Fred is also a songwriter and has a publishing deal with Sony music. He has recently written & produced music and jingles for McDonald’s, Cisco, Honda, Acura, Mary Kay cosmetics, Rhythm Extreme and Mitsubishi.

He has coached and choreographed celebrities such as Madonna, Mike Meyers, Heather Locklear, David Spade, Lucy Lawless, Fran Drescher, Jamie Kennedy, Greg Kinnear, Bea Arthur, Kelis, David Cassidy, Frankie Muniz, Kelly Osborne, Marisa Tomei, Amy Pietz, Queen Latifah, Rita Wilson, Larry the Cable Guy, Melissa Joan Hart, Portia De Rossi, Antonio Sabato Jr., Ben Stiller, Ben Savage, Jane Kazmerick, Ruben Studdard & Kimberly Caldwell from American Idol, Mariel Hemmingway, The Osmonds, Paul Lekakis, Cloris Leachman, Whitney Houston, Bryan Cranston, Wendie Malkin, Judy Greer, Laura Bell Bundy and Vanessa Hudgens.
